The Scots School Crest

The Scots School was founded by the Presbyterian Church in 1946. The Bathurst campus is a co-educational day school for pre-kindergarten (4 year olds) to year 12 with boarding for years 6 to 12. The Lithgow campus is a co-educational day school for pre-Kindergarten to Year 6.

ChapelThe Scots School provides a quality education in a secure and supportive Christian environment. The Christian faith is central to all that the school does, with Chapel and Christian Studies classes once a week for all students across the school. Once a term the whole school community comes together for church on the Sunday of Parent Weekend. These services are always very special and a key focus of the ministry to students, parents and staff. Boarding students also attend NightChurch at Bathurst Presbyterian Church at least once a term and are encouraged and supported to attend on a regular basis.

The Scots School believes that it is important to give everyone in the school community the opportunity to engage with the Christian world view of life, and an understanding of the Christian faith centred in the work and person of Jesus as revealed in the bible. The school also seeks to provide every student with the opportunity to know the Christian message, to appreciate its validity and value, and to respond personally.

Classroom 2The Scots School strives to give individual assistance to every student to enable them to achieve their best and to develop their academic gifts, social abilities, physical endeavours and personal Christian faith.
